Calculator for Estimating PHQ‑8 and GAD‑7 Scores From Norse Feedback 3.0

This online tool generates estimates of Patient Health Questionnaire‑8 (PHQ‑8; Kroenke & Spitzer, 2002) and Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7‑item (GAD‑7; Spitzer et al., 2006) scores from Norse Feedback 3.0 (NF‑3.0; McAleavey et al., 2021; Nordberg et al., 2021) responses using the methods described in Sah et al. (under review). These estimates are intended to support interpretation and comparison across measures and should not be considered equivalent to directly administered PHQ‑8 or GAD‑7 scores.

Instructions for Use
To use this tool, please follow the steps below. Complete NF‑3.0 data (no missing values) are required.

1. Select whether you will enter:
   • NF‑3.0 subscale scores, or
   • NF‑3.0 trigger item scores, using the selection box.
2. Enter the NF‑3.0 scores for each domain in the fields provided.
   • If scores include decimals, enter values using up to two decimal places (e.g., 4.352 → 4.35; 4.1 → 4.1).
   • Whole numbers can be entered as is (e.g., 5).
3. After entering all required values, click “Calculate” to generate estimated PHQ‑8 and GAD‑7 scores.

Notes
For NF‑3.0 subscales consisting of a single item, subscale scores and trigger item scores are identical.
The following NF‑3.0 domains were not included in the estimation models: Suicidality, Medication, Alliance, and Social Determinants of Health.
